Beautiful grounds, steeped in history

The first mention of a manor at Latimer dates back to 1194 and during the 17th century both Charles I & II stayed at Latimer House. From 1615 it was owned by the Cavendish family, until it was requisitioned by the government during World War II. The manor you see now was built in 1836 and has been extensively restored since 1989 to combine contemporary and Victorian architecture.
