The perfect setting for your special day

Milton Hill House is a charming Georgian Mansion House, beautifully set in 22 tranquil acres of peaceful parkland. Milton Hill has been extensively modernised during its lifetime – there were certainly some alterations carried out during the 19th Century, but most of the work followed the sale of the house to Sir Mortimer Singer in 1912. Sir Mortimer was an incredibly wealthy American of the Singer Sewing Machine family, who had taken up British Citizenship in 1900. Milton Hill House was one of a number of houses that he owned in England. It was a house he used for entertaining and leisure, and his extended family often stayed at Milton Hill, engaging themselves in riding and hunting.

Milton Hill House has recently undergone a £multi million refurbishment. The transformation of Milton Hill, as part of the De Vere Collection, promises to offer guests the luxury of newly refurbished bedrooms either in a contemporary, stylish design found in our Garden Wing or more traditional, luxurious style found in our Manor House bedrooms.

  • 113 stylish new en suite bedrooms with free high speed internet access, LCD TV with Sky Channels, laptop safes, DDI Telephones, tea and coffee tray. (20 bedrooms are located in the Manor House, 87 in the separate bedroom wing and a further 8 in the Gable Cottages.)
  • Leisure facilities include an indoor pool, mini-gym, spa and sauna and steam room, badminton, football pitch, croquet, volleyball, table football
  • 13 miles from the vibrant city of Oxford. Access is easy, with direct train links to London Paddington and easy access from the M4 and M40
  • 200 parking spaces
