Arriving is just the first of many special experiences. As you wind up the driveway past fields of young Alpacas, the manor comes into view; tall white towers, perfect architectural symmetry, gently fluttering flags. There can be few settings as elegant, or as romantic.
This house has always been a place of indulgence and extravagance. Once home to Sir Alexander ‘the magnificent’, the castle was renowned for its banquets and hosted many notable guests including Sir Walter Scott, Adam Smith and Dr Johnson. These days, the historic beauty and warm welcome remains as strong as ever.
Barony Castle is a licensed venue for the Registration of Marriages, set in 25 acres of formal gardens and woodland this is the perfect venue for your Wedding. Whether it is a Civil or Religious Ceremony, we would be delighted to host your special day in one of our beautiful function suites, or if the weather permits, outdoors in our stunning courtyard or 16th century stone altar, followed by your reception on the lawn or in the conservatory.
Inclusive Darnhall package for 2012: £3,870.00 based on 40 day guests and 80 evening guests.
Inclusive Saltire package for 2013: £4,420.00 based on 40 day guests and 80 evening guests.
We can accommodate a maximum of 110 day guests and 130 evening guests. Additional guests added to the package will be charged the following:
Additional guest, adult: £63.00 per head
Additional guest, child: £23.00 per head
Additional evening guest: £5.75 per head
